| War's Dark Domain No aspect of Stones work is more intense than his exploration of wars dark domain. His outrage at the insanity and injustice of war is a very deep-seated feeling. In the tradition of Goya, Picasso, the German Expressionists and others, Stone attempts to make sense out of a human failing that has never made any sense. It is possible when looking at these images, to hear the screams and feel the desperation from the victims. Perhaps pausing to contemplate the dark domain can shed a hopeful light for our future.  |
